Last night we published our 22nd patch, bringing minor adjustments to NPCs and skills.
- Animals and monsters can use their special (non-magic) moves while paralyzed. This includes firebreath, poison attacks, etc.
- You may now trade trapped containers. Pro tip: Disable auto-search containers in Razor!,
- Fire gargoyles have been reskinned to be the classic gargoyle body, with t2a fire dungeon red hues.
- Orc scouts have had their max hiding skill reduced.
- Detect hidden skill has a better chance of revealing hidden players (approximate 30% improvement).
- Fixed a bug with animal lore and attempting to lore a tamed animal, while under 70 skill points.
- Stealth in full barbed studded leather (41AR cap) is possible now.
- Barkeeps are now invulnerable.
Tides of Power Test Shard
We’ll be opening the test shard on October 3rd through the middle of next week. Players are encouraged to login and test out the new features from the upcoming Hunter’s Mark and Crafter’s Boon feature expansions.

The bank in Britain will be staged with quality of life items, resources, BODs, and gates to get around. We’ll include stat crabs and skill lobsters, so you can easily change your templates and try out different builds.

Visit Jhelom’s dueling pits to test out different PvP builds, or hit the marked dungeon and explore the new systems.
Hunter’s Mark Summary
Monster Frenzy
Monsters in the marked dungeon spawn approximately 33% faster than normal, increasing the danger levels and incentives.
Increased Skill Gain
Characters who train skills in a marked dungeon will gain approximately 33% faster, making it a perfect place for new players to train skills while playing.
Abominations
Among the normal monsters spawning in the dungeons, you may find a few abominations. These special monsters have been, for the most part, inspired by the original collection of unique UO monsters. These special monsters are difficult and have a greater chance of dropping the dungeon’s special loot.

Special Loot
Every monster in the marked dungeon has a chance of dropping special loot. See below for different types of items that may drop.
Dungeon Dyes
Each dungeon has specific colors associated with it. These dyes work on runebooks and leather armors.
Dungeon Cloth
Each dungeon has two rare cloth drops that drop in single-yard piles.
Dungeon Doubloons
Monsters have a chance of dropping a doubloon currency, specific to the dungeon. A Covetous doubloon is not the same as a Deceit doubloon. These doubloons can be saved or traded among players and spent at the Doubloon Exchange. The Doubloon Exchange offers rare items, specifically themed to the dungeon. These items range from 30 to 500 doubloons each.
