The lost lands has been sealed off from Britannia since the great flood. Many families have been separated and trade routes entirely blocked.

With Britannia’s order coming back together, Admiral Jarvis will be leading his operation to regaining access to the lost lands. We’ll keep the storytelling to a minimal for now, so it’s a surprise as our adventure, Courageous Exploration unfolds. The focus of this post is to let players know roughly what to expect from the lost lands expansion.

Mechanics for the Lost Lands

Here are the mechanical “need to knows” about the upcoming lost lands map expansion.

  • The lost lands map has been “remastered” in a similar fashion as Britannia. There are brand new POIs and flood impacted regions.
  • The lost lands terrain has been redone to be more like Britannia, no more getting stuck on endless ridge landscape barriers. While the ridge landscape can add character it is also a major nuisance for travel.
  • Initially, travel restrictions will apply. When the lost lands opens, there will be one entrance and you must use it to enter the lost lands.
  • As players explore the lost lands, they will stumble across switches, levers, and other methods to unlock additional connections between Britannia and the Lost Lands. Yes, players will have to discover these on their own!
  • There will be 2 new server births with the lost lands overview. We’ll make these known 60 days after lost lands launches.
  • There will be additional recurring rare spawns. We’ll make these known 60 days after lost lands launches.
  • Players will gain the ability to recall between Britannia and the lost lands at the end of Courageous Exploration.
  • Players will gain the option to place housing in the lost lands at the end of Courageous Exploration.
  • Players will gain the option to unlock a second house slot for their account at the end of Courageous Exploration.
