Alpha Testing for Tides of Power
We’re thrilled to announce that Alpha Phase 1 kicks off on December 6th! Our team has been hard at work preparing for this milestone, and we’ve already upgraded selected players in Discord to get them ready for the adventure ahead. If you’re part of the Alpha testing group, you should have access to the testing channel where instructions to join have been provided.
To ensure a smooth start, we’ve kept the initial test group small—just 10 handpicked players. This will help us iron out early kinks and gather focused feedback. If you weren’t chosen for Phase 1, don’t worry! Alpha Phase 2 will launch later this month with a much larger group of participants. Stay tuned for your chance to dive in.
During Alpha, testers will explore both the classic systems of Ultima Online and the custom mechanics unique to Tides of Power. However, we want to set expectations: this is an early phase of testing. Bugs, crashes, lost items, and other quirks may occur. While we’ve implemented a robust backup system, rollbacks or unintended wipes are possible. Your patience and feedback will be vital in shaping the future of the game.
Tides of Power Alpha Test Schedule
Phase 1: December 6th – December 20th.
Phase 2: December 21st – January 25th.
How to Install & Connect to Alpha
Download our Tides Alpha Client zip file and unzip it to your preferred location on your computer. Load ClassicUO and point it to that folder. Log in with your credentials.
We’ll share the link to our client directly in Discord.
Account Creation & Testing Status
Send GM BoomlandJenkins or GM Redjump a DM in Discord. We’ll send you a temporary login and you’ll be able to change it after your first login.
These will be your real Tides of Power accounts. There is a book on top of Britain Bank that you’ll need to double-click to upgrade your account to a Tester. This will give your character special benefits, including a way to self-resurrect yourself if you die.
5 QOL Items to Carry for Testing
- Template Selector – Quickly switch between premade templates.
- Panic Button – This restores your health, mana, stamina, removes poison, removes paralyze, and hides you.
- Remote Bank Box – This box lets you access your bank from anywhere.
- Portable Trash Barrel – Trash items, anywhere you go
- Ring of WBB – Double click this ring to get a free ride back to the bank. Ghosts can use this too.
None of these QOL items will exist on the actual shard. They are just for our test group.
QOL Test Items & Features at Britain Bank
- Bag of Potions – Grab a bag from the table and go!
- Reagents – All the reagents you’ll need for Magery, Alchemy, etc..
- Skillballs – Set your preferred skills with a skillball.
- Statballs – Set your preferred stats with a statball.
- Top-tier Magic Gear – A chest full of the best magic weapons and armor.
- Vending Machine – Create a specific charged magic item.
- Bulk Order Deeds – Fast spawning BODs.
- Lockboxes – Fast spawning level 1 through level 4 dungeon chests.
- Craft Supplies – Fast spawning raw materials and refined goods.
- Gatekeepers – Gatekeepers exist throughout the world and make it easier to get around without a rune library.
- Exotic Trainer – An animal trainer that sells wyrms, mares, and other pets at a premium. This NPC is just for Alpha to have quicker access to certain tames.
None of these QOL features will exist on the actual shard. They are just for our test group.

Website Updates
Our Wiki continues to grow with fresh pages and valuable information for players. To make navigation easier, the main Wiki homepage has received a subtle redesign, allowing quicker access to newly added or recently updated articles.
We’ve also been working on bringing the world of Tides of Power to life by adding screenshots to most location pages. Over the next few months, we’ll continue enhancing the Wiki with more visuals and updates as the shard develops. Be sure to check back regularly for new insights and content!
