Banking, Checks, and Gold
Banking, Checks, and Gold
Tides of Power uses the traditional gold and checks system from Ultima Online, prior to the Account Gold system. This means you’ll need to visit a town bank and say “bank” to view your bank box, which includes any stored items and gold.
Storing Items in the Bank
Your bank box is specific to your character. Each character’s bank box can hold up to 125 items. Items inside your bank box are secure and cannot be accessed by other players.
Both gold and checks take up “item slots” in your bank, meaning you cannot store unlimited gold in your bank (technically 125,000,000 per character is the limit… not to shabby!).
Every banker or minter in the game will show you the same bank box. You do not need to return to the same banker every time.
How Checks Work
You can visit the bank and say “check _____” (a value between 5,000 and 1,000,000) to convert gold from coin into a check inside the bank. Checks are capped at one million gold in value.
Checks are blessed and will stay with you upon death. Checks are generally used to pay for expensive items from other players, such as rare items, magic items, bulk resources, or houses.
Put a check in your bank box and double-click it to redeem it’s value.
