How to Use Fishing
Grab a fishing pole and hit the shoreline or set sail! Fishing is a fun activity for everyone.
Fishing allows players to catch fish and other assorted items from bodies of water, such as rivers, lakes, and the ocean. With higher skill levels, players can fish up rare items, Message in Bottles (MIBs), special fishing nets, and treasure maps.
Special Fish
While fishing, players may encounter standard fish, prized fish, wondrous fish, truly rare fish, great barracudas, the Kingfish, or the rarest of them all, the Black Marlin. NPC Fishers will pay well for these rare fish.
Special Fishing Nets
When you use a special fishing net (double click and target a valid water tile), the net will sink in the water, and sea monsters will spawn. .
These special fishing nets come in a wide range of colors. 14 colors total. Their hue IDs include: 0x09B, 0x0CD, 0x0D3, 0x14D, 0x1DD, 0x1E9, 0x1F4, 0x373, 0x451, 0x47F, 0x489, 0x492, 0x4B5, 0x8AA
Message in a Bottle / SOS

Sail to the coordinates, cast your fishing line, and you’ll eventually fish up a metal chest, filled with goodies! Shipwrecked items can be sold to either the treasure collector or a junk collector NPC, found hanging around town docks and art galleries.
Sunken City Treasures
While fishing above the sunken cities of Cove, Buccaneer’s Den, Jhelom, Minoc, Moonglow, or Vesper you have a slim chance of fishing up one of 20 sunken city treasure items.
