Hunter’s Mark

With the recent wave of orc attacks and overflowing dungeon populations, a general call to arms has been issued to protect what remains of Britannia. Visit the Herald NPC, or get a dungeon explorer’s globe to see which dungeon is currently marked. The Herald NPCs can be found at the Trinsic Bounty Hunter Association, the New Magincia Bounty Hunters, the old guild hall in Skara Brae, Settler’s Cove village square, or Delucia.

How it Works

A dungeon is marked for one full week and offers bonus incentives to anyone hunting within it. Hunter’s Mark runs on a 4 day on, 2 day off schedule.

Hunting Incentives

Monster Frenzy

Monsters in the marked dungeon spawn approximately 50% faster than normal, increasing the danger levels and incentives.

Improved Skill Training

Characters who train skills in a marked dungeon will gain approximately 33% faster, making it a perfect place for new players to train skills while playing.

Abominations

Among the normal monsters spawning in the dungeons, you may find a few abominations. These special monsters have been, for the most part, inspired by the original collection of unique UO monsters. These special monsters are difficult and have a greater chance of dropping the dungeon’s special loot.

An abomination spawns every 12 to 24 hours in a marked dungeon and can spawn on any valid tile.

Special Loot

Every monster in the marked dungeon has a chance of dropping special loot. See below for different types of items that may drop.

Dungeon Doubloons

Monsters have a chance of dropping a doubloon currency, specific to the dungeon. A Covetous doubloon is not the same as a Deceit doubloon. These doubloons can be saved or traded among players and spent at the Doubloon Exchange.

Redeeming your doubloons

Shamino the doubloon collector is ready to exchange your doubloons for rare items at the big bank in Trinsic. Shamino offers rare items, specifically themed to the dungeon. These items range from 30 to 500 doubloons each. Each dungeon has 9 rewards available. You can also find a doubloon vendor at the Castle in Britain.

Collectable Hair, Facial Hair, Mask, Backpack Dyes, and Hued Cloth

Monsters in the marked dungeon have a chance of dropping hair dye, facial hair dye, mask dye, backpack dye, or cloth associated with the dungeon.  Each dungeon has two colors. See below for color examples/

While farming in the marked dungeon, monsters and treasure chests have a small chance of spawning with one yard of cloth. Each dungeon has two variations of cloth that can spawn. You can collect enough of them to craft an item with that hue.
