Add Your Files to MobileUO, With USB

Plug your device into your computer. Navigate to your UO directory and copy it. Open My Computer, locate your mobile device, and look for the MobileUO folder. Paste your client there.

Add Your Files to MobileUO, Without USB

If your mobile device and computer are on the same network (e.g. your home wifi), you can run a simple tool called Mongoose.exe to make a folder available to anyone on your network. This obviously comes with risks if you leave it enabled long term, but short term, it provides a means to copy your UO directory to your tablet or phone.  Mongoose is one of the recommended methods for installing MobileUO, by the creators of MobileUO.

Run Mongoose

Put mongoose.exe in your Tides of Power UO directory and run it. A window should appear, similar to this:

A local server running in a terminal view on Windows

Look Up Your Local IP

In Windows, open the command prompt or click search and type “cmd”.  Type ipconfig in the window that appears. Look for the IPv4 Address entry. In the example below, the address is 192.168.1.154.

Launch MobileUO

When you launch the App, select the option to create a new entry.

  • Name: Tides of Power
  • UO Server Address: login.uotides.com
  • Port: 2593
  • File Download Server Address: Your local IP (in our example above, it was 192.168.1.154)
  • Port: 8080 or 8000
  • Client Version: 7.0.99.1

Click Save.

If you did everything correctly, when you try to launch Tides of Power, it will download all of the individual files from your computer.  When it finishes, shutdown mongoose.exe on your computer. You can now play UO on a mobile device, even if your computer is off.
