NPC Merchant Ships

Merchant Boats are small vessels that can be found stranded (stationary) throughout the open ocean. Each boat is crewed by a lone merchant and contains a cargo chest filled with trade goods, valuables, and the occasional rare ocean themed item.

These encounters are designed to be quick and rewarding. Similar to finding a locked chest in a dungeon, players who discover a merchant boat can quickly board it, pick the chest and loot the cargo. Disturbing the chest will trigger the boat’s sinking sequence, giving players only a short time to gather what they can before the vessel disappears beneath the waves.

  • Gold
  • Gems

  • Dangerous Fishing Nets
