Water Trash Islands are temporary encounters that can appear throughout the open ocean. Formed from floating wreckage and debris, these islands attract monsters and often contain a stranded survivor in need of rescue.
At the center of each island is a locked treasure chest containing valuable rewards. Once the chest is looted, the island begins to break apart and sink beneath the waves. Debris disappears over time until the entire island vanishes, taking any remaining monsters, loot, and objects with it. These “trash islands” show up randomly in the ocean every 10 to 40 minutes.

- Floating debris islands appear randomly throughout the ocean.
- Hostile creatures guard the island and its treasure.
- A stranded survivor may be found and escorted to safety.
- A locked treasure chest can be discovered near the center of the island.
- Looting the chest triggers the island’s collapse.
- Debris sinks away in stages until the island disappears.
- Any unclaimed loot or remaining creatures are lost when the island sinks.
