Skill Trainer: Blacksmith, Blacksmith Guildmaster, Warrior Guildmaster

How to Use Parrying

Parrying is a defensive skill that allows characters to block incoming melee attacks with a shield.

The higher the Parrying skill, the more effective the player becomes at mitigating damage by deflecting blows. Parrying is a great complementary skill for melee fighters who engage enemies up close, as it significantly reduces the amount of damage taken in combat. Parrying is often paired with combat skills such as Swordsmanship, Fencing, or Mace Fighting for improved survivability in PVM.

Spell Channeling Shields

Patch 27 introduced spell channeling for Order and Chaos shields. Players can cast spells while either of these shields are equipped. In order to wear these shields, you must be in an Order or Chaos guild.  Player blacksmiths can craft virtue shields, including regular and exceptional quality, as well as increasing protection by using colored ores (each ore tier increases protection, similar to how colored armor works).
